what the hell is going on!?!?

this just started tonight. at about 50 MPH, in 4th gear (700r4), my car starts bogging. i put it into 3rd (drive) to let it rev a littler higher and it would sporadically jump between 2 and 3 grand. put it back into OD, and first it would bog again, then it would just go into 3rd and stay there. checked tranny fluid, still as pink as can be. a little overfull, but it looked fine. what the hell is going on!?!? also, i noticed both with my old tranny and new tranny that there is a wire hanging down that seems to be doing nothing. has 2 connectors. it is not the 4 connector one that plugs into the tranny. help me please!!!
also, this is a near brand new tranny, with only about 2K miles on it, stage 10 shift kit, 2200 stall, vette servo, and kevlar clutches.

jsut ot let anyone know that this might happen to, turns out the tranny governor was stuck. to take care of this, pop off the cap on the drivers side of the tranny, twist the governor out. there are two "wings". if, when you click those together, the two valves dont move, you have dirt or some other crap stuck in there. put some solvent on there until it frees itself, and you are good to go! put the governor back in, and put some RTV around the cap, then pop that back on and you are good to go. takes about 30 minutes or so.
