I'm helping a friend with his 91 camero, is it possible to replace the fluid in the slave and master cylindar. Any one done this or does GM want us to buy a new assembly? Thanks. this is for AJ'S91RS

if you look closely in the picture of my engine bay: Up near the master cylinder you see a white container that is where you put the hydrolic fluid for the clutch.

make sure to use DOT 3 or better Brake Fluid, not hydraulic oil.

why would you want to replace the fluid? If you have to then just loosen the bleeder on the slave cylinder and pump the clutch and it will come out then fill the master cylinder and bleed the system again. dont get brake fluid on your paint it will take it off!!

the bleeder must be a torqus head and not a normal bleeder, after washing it that is wat it looked like any way. i havn't helped him with it yet but soon we will. There isn't much clutch left so i would guess he'll be replacing it soon. Thanks for the responces
