I have a 88transam with a built up 305 tpi with about 285 horse.I have 3:73 gears in the back and a blown 700r4 right now.It ran good with the auto in there and I would take lt1's but i never got it to the track because the tranny blew.I need a new tranny anyways and I am either going to get a 6 speed or a pro-built auto.What would you do and why and do u think a 6 speed would get me better track times with the 3:73 gears.I have done auto to stick conversions so i am not worried about labor or work involved.
