ls1 t56 to ram jet 350

Does anybody know the # of teeth on the input shaft for the t56? Also will my flywheel from a 91z 305 bolt up to the ram jet. In other words, what clutch and flywheel will I need to make it fly.

wont work, (shouldn't anyway) the ls1 t-56 is totaly different (front the front plate forward) go to chevy high performace's website and do some searching, they did some tech articles on that (maybe it was car craft) anyway, that tranny wont work with anything but a ls1 unless you do more surgery than its worth.
if i can find the article, i will post more info for ya

I have the bellhousing and Im going to use the stock slave and master cylinder. My buddy works at a chevy dealer and says that the only dif with the ls1 t56 is that they use 1 different spot for the bellhousing and plugged up the other hole. So I would imagine the lenght of the input shaft wouldnt matter if I got the bellhousing to bolt up, would it? Or is there something Im missing?

the LS1 t56 has a longer input shaft indeed. it also has a different bellhousing (allowing for a clutch arm), the transmission adapter plate doesnt have a cutout for the clutch fork either. you also need a clutch arm pivot.

otherwise its the same.
3-400 bucks at the tranny shop and you got yourself a LT1 input shaft.
1-200 bucks for a LT1 bellhousing
modify your trans adapter plate for clutch fork
get pivot.

either that or fork out the extra $$ for a Lt1 T56

Ok. Lets say I have the whole ls1 set up. Its whole hydrolic set up and all. Not trying to set it up to use the clutch fork. Wouldnt it be a matter of bolting the bellhousing to the block
