Good deal or is it?
I know a guy that has a 10 bolt rear with 3.73 richmond, and powertrax no-slip system, new axles for $500.00 says it doesn't whine. It's still in his car but I haven't riden in it yet. He made 1 pass at the track with it but wants to get a 12 bolt, afraid the 10 bolt will break--says hes running close to 700 horses. So is this a good deal? I know the powertrax new is $400.00 and the gear is about $190.00. Last time I had new gears put in labor was about $300.00.
Take it for a drive for yourself. Richmonds are notorious for the noise they make. Not that they are bad, but make sure its something you'll be happy with. I finally ditched my Richmonds for some OEM gears cause I didn't like the noise.

Hmm, I've heard the same about Richmond gears, but I also hear it's from improper installation. Mine don't whine at all.
