Shift points at WOT (700R4)

Are they controlled only by the governor on the side?

My car currently has a corvette govoernor in it and is causing it to shift at 5000 rpm.

Can I simply change it back to a F-body governor to get back to the stock WOT shift point? (4400ish)

Thanks

To tell you the truth, I dont know if the shift kit is still in it.

I had the tranny rebuilt after the kit was installed. The car still shifts hard as hell but I know the guys who built my tranny set it up to shift that way.

When just the B&M was in it shifted pretty hard. At low acceleration you could feel it but it didnt bother me at all. At WOT it would break 1-2 loose all over and the 2-3 shift was real hard.
