Hey Miles aka: 88 427 Camaro
I (and many others) want to know what's up with your girdle cover that your working on for the 9 bolt rears.
Is this thing gonna happen or what?
How much and when?
You got a pic?
I'm hoping it's of the same reinforced design as the TA girdles with the preload bolts and fill/drain plugs and not the ****ty looking LPW ones.
Are you still gonna offer the bearing cap support kit too?
Also, What's these HD brake cones, axle gears, and cross shaft I seen on your site?
Are these some kind of custom made parts? If so, what material are they made out of?
I've got a posi out of an 89 TurboTA; does it already have these parts in it?
I emailed you days ago and you didn't respond so I'm callin' you out here!

FYI, Miles travels A LOT with his occupation and can't always expediently address things with his other business (the 9-bolt venture) so don't be surprised if it takes a while before he gets back to you. But he sure does know his 9-bolts and is a heck of a nice guy

Thanks Matt
I know the covers are important to a lot of people (myself included), but from a business perspective, they are not on the top of my list, BUT, I did make an arrangment to get the design finished during the next few weeks. Then off to the pattern shop. I will post pics of the pattern, but not until then.
It will have fill and drain plugs and be similar in design to other covers. It will have provisions for axle tube supports as well. Not sure what you mean by bearing cap support kit? The cover will have support bolts on it for the caps. I may offer steel main caps if there is enough interest too.
The HD cones and gears have more axle spline contact length and must be used as pairs. Cross shaft may become available if there is enough interest in the future.
Sorry about not responding to emails. I'm about 1-2 weeks behind
But between business stuff and working on the first blown alcohol NMCA Super Street combination (my friends car which may be the first in the sixes
), I don't have much time lately.
Please understand that 9 bolt stuff is a very small market (which is why the big manufactures don't have any parts for them). I started doing this because I needed a rearend for my big block Camaro and knew a 9 inch was overkill (and over priced) and a 10 bolt was not strong enough and that other people were in the same situation as me.

Miles, I hope you can come through with the cover, please put me on the mailing list for it.
As for the Bearing Cap Support, you list it as coming soon on your site. I was assuming you were gonna offer some kind of HD studs or bolts and maybe some straps similar to what's used on other kits. Hovever some billet steel caps with HD studs or bolts would be better.
I'll definately buy the cover and billet cap kit if you make them available to me.
As for the HD brake cones and axle gears you didn't fully answer my questions. Does my 9 bolt already have them? It's from an 89 TTA. Are they OEM parts or are they custom made?
Thanks. Dwain Brammer

The covers (and probably main caps) will happen, just a matter of time and priorities. I want one as bad as everyone else does for my car! Everyone that has ever emailed me will be on the notification list when the covers are ready.
