I have a opportunity to buy a set of 3:42 gears out of a 1998 WS6 Formula. I just wanted to double check..will they fit my rear end. Mine is the Borg Warner 7.5" rear with 3:27's in my '88 GTA. Will the newer 3:42's work??? Thanks.

no, you have the 9 bolt rear right? a gear set from a 10 bolt won't fit. thing to do would be to get the complete rear and swap it in.

 

hey brian, are those from bills car? I am looking for a set too, i would have liked 3.73s but geoff said they are pretty steep. Whereever you were gonna get them, i'll have them, cause they won't fit your car, but they will fit mine. i have a 10-bolt.
