brackets for 9-inch

i've looked all over and haven't been able to find the brackets i need to mount a ford 9-inch in my f-body. i'm getting the 9-inch from a friend for 75 bucks. does anyone know where i can get the brackets brand new? can i juts use the old ones. just like cut them off my old rear end and have them welded to the 9 inch? thanks

Cut the old ones off---have them sand blasted. Measure from your DRIVESHAFT center line for all your brackets. You will probably need to cut the rearend down also. Weld on new bearing ends, get new axles (shorter with chevy bolt pattern). Don't forget the new driveshaft--------I can do all of this and I'm still going to buy a pre fab unit. If you can't do all of this, a prefab from currie with most definately be much cheaper. I don't know if I helped you or irritated you but I tried to help

you can recycle brackets from a f body rear, or make your own. tube ends are easily found from most rear end builder, like strange or currie along with tooling and fixtues.
