No wonder we couldn't figure out what you meant.... nobody uses any kind of term like that to describe them, it isn't necessary.

Any clutch type posi (9-bolt, Auburn, Eaton, etc.) or gear type (Zexel-Torsen) works in both directions of power flow. The only type that dosen't is a "ratchet", like a Powertrax.

Actually, I think the terms are used more by racers and are pretty common when speaking of aftermarket lsd. I never heard the term until my friends started getting into "rally" type driving. I think most of the diffs for are cars are at most 1.5 way.

Around here it's circle track on dirt(spool) or drag. Rally driving on pavement, what's that?

It's a joke. We actually call it drifting. That's why I said "rally" type driving. It's a combination of several types of racing/driving techniques, not just sliding around a turn. It's pretty entertaining.

powertrax lockers work on deceleration too, because if you lock the wheels up (in an errant downshift....that sucked) both wheels slide, not just one.

the only time the locker is unlocked is under cornering which forces the outer plates away from the center, disengaging the teeth. when traveling in a straight line, both wheels are ALWAYS locked together.
