Shifting too soon....

Had to replace my rear end gears....went from 3.23 to 3.73...also put on headers at the same time. On way to the muffler shop to weld that little missing piece to the Y pipe, my transmission went out.

Got a rebuilt 700r4...

My problem or dilemma....

From a stop, a little brake, lots of gas and let it go....pedal to the floor.

transmission shifts at 3500rpm 2nd to 3rd....can't tell for sure when 1st to 2nd happens since both wheels are spinning and so much other stuff is going on....

Should the trans be shifting that soon? or is there some adjustment needs done....????

the trans thinks you still have 3.23's out back. its not like a trans with a vacuum modulator, the WOT shift are controlled by the govoner. you have to adjust the gov. to set your shift points.

if your going back there anyway you might as well have them do it. or if you want to do it yourself, you'll need a govoner recalibration kit. you can buy one through summi or jegs. B&M makes one that im aware of.....
