clutch size

I am looking for info on 10.4 inch diameter clutches vs. 11 inch diameter from GM for my T5.

From what I can tell the specs are the same between the two -- other than the diameter. The 11 inch is for the 1979 to 1984 Camaro, I guess this is for the 4 speed ?

Can anyone shed some light on this ? Will the 11 inch work on the T5 ?

thx in advance,
RP.

You can get one that will work on the trans (1-1/8" 16 splines). However, it will not fit on your stock flywheel; and a flywheel that it will fit on won't fit in your bell housing; and you can't replace your bell housing with one that the larger clutch does fit, unless you (a) spend megabuxks on a steel one for racing, or (b) don't mind cutting your floor right where your right foot goes, and doing without a gas pedal.

Just use the right clutch, it will be fine if you get a good quality one.
