signs of bad hydraulics??

hey guys i am pretty sure my hyrdrulics for my clutch are goin bad. I have the tranny out and took it apart and inspected it, and everything else associated. the only thing left is the hydraulics. Sometimes out of nowhere it wil be hard to get into gear, and when i shift fast at high rpm it will grind in a little. i think i have an internal leak or something. so what are some signs or ways to tel the hydraulics are goin bad? thanks

It sounds like the clutch is not completely disengaging, from your description. Either that or the synchro for the affected gear is worn.

Does the problem happen with every gear at high revs, or just 1-2 or 2-3 or 3-4, etc.? If it happens w/ all gears, the clutch hydraulics are suspect. Bleeding is a good first step, checking for leaks at the master and slave pistons also good. Any seepage is a show stopper and the part needs replaced.

Most likely, you need a pilot bearing, and there's nothing wrong with the hydraulics, the clutch, or the trans.

The only failures I've ever had with the hydraulic system since I swapped it into my car, were pretty obvious.... specifically, giant puddles of fluid on the ground underneath it. If you don't have that, I'd say it's pretty likely there's nothing worng with that system.

But, it's only about $100 for the entire system, reservoir, MC, SC, and line, filled and pre-bled to where all you do is bolt it on. If you're worried about it, just go to the dealer and get it and change it out and be done with it. It's not really serviceable any other way than just replacing the parts..
