V-6 governer in a V-8 700R4

Okay, I want to change my shift points to approx 5400 rpm, like where my 2.8 shifts, but with the T/A. I have the governer recalibration kit but am scared to use it actually. If I just placed a 2.8 one in my V-8 700, would it shift that at that point with the V-8. Or anyone with experience with the B and M kit, how could I change it. Im doing a trans go kit and corvette servo soon, maybe a B4C valve (BTW where do I get one of those and how much). Thanks in advance guys.

Since the governor works off of centrifical force, it doesn't matter whether its V6 or V8. If you like the shift point of the 2.8, then use that governor.
