I just ordered a zexel posi for the 3.23 geared rear that I am getting ready to swap into my 85 TA and was wondering if the pinion depth would need to change or just set the side play and go also are the brakes a direct bolt up both cars are drums or will I have to swap the hard lines out between the two cars.

 

well... i just recently did my rear end... and put in the Zexel piece... i went to 3.42s from my stock 2.73s on the old 2 series carrier... and after a good bit of playing with the darn thing found that the stock pinion shim was the right size... mine was .030" or thirty thousanths... try the stock shim first... you will probably need to pull the stocker off and use it or new ones...

 

what do you think of your zexel and do you race at music city

 

i like it... works better than my stocker did... and yeah i head up there some... my stuff always seems to break when its time to head to the track though

 

yeah or it rains like it did for sunday if you ever make it out on a tuesday stop by and say hi I`ll be the guy with the red 85 Ta and I`m out there like every tues.
