ok, i bought my car a few months ago and i dont know what gear ratio i have. i would really like to know. is there a way i can look at my rear end and tell? sorry if this is a dumb question but i didnt know where else to ask

 

Take off the cover and count the teeth on the gears. It's the only absolutely certain way. You need to do it anyway as part of your normal just-bought car routine, where you change all the fluids, including of course the rear end fluid.

count the bolts. 10 bolt = 10 bolts 9 bolt = 9 bolts
