All wheel drive on an f-body?

I was strolling through the salvage yard looking for a good tail light for my 'bird. I glanced over at an old Subaru and it hit me. Maybe I'm not the first nut to think of this, but how impossible (or not-so-impossible) do you think it would be to put AWD on an f-body? And what car to ****** the parts from? I've decided to put this on my list of things to do if I ever get rich. :-)

Just a thought...

GM has been there, done that, got the car sitting in the warehouse with all the other "one off" goodies. Unless you have financial backing like GM does, forget about it.

The car would sit as high as an astro van. That topic has also been discussed many times.

The trouble with a third gen is that the driveline sits too high in the body lines. Unless a transverse transaxle system is used for the front with an additional output for the rear drive, there's just not enough room under a third gen to practically install an AWD system.

How much money do you have? Anything can be done with enough money.

I know it's not really what you're talking about, but you might could take a 4wd S-10 chassis and put an F- body on top of it...

Hmmm.. Next time I get time, I'll head over to the imports section, and tear up a Subaru or something. I know it won't work, at least not on my budget, but it'll be fun. And who knows...? Maybe I'll come up with another crazy idea.

Of course you could cut the body off of the frame of a subaru and paste or bolt a camaro unibody onto it , dont forget to rip out the little 1.8L F-4 and throw your 350 in it!

You could always just use the Astro van AWD (L-Body) instead of the F-Body
