Does the trans pump make noise when bad?

Car: 86 sports coupe-83 berlinetta
Engine: 5.0 in the sports coupe-350 in the berlinetta
Transmission: 700r4 in the sports coupe-turbo-350 with a 2500 stal in the berlinetta
Does the trans pump make noise when bad?
My car has a turbo 350. When im at a light and the trans is in D
I hear a funny noise i believe is coming from the trainny.When i up the RPMs a couple hundred the noise goes away. the reason im asking about the pump is i had a bad vibration problem from the drv shaft and it caused the trainny to come looose from the engine.Also can a transmission make a car shake in drive at idle.Going down the road it seems ok.Could the shake come from my frankinstein engine?(Used rotating parts from different 350)The tach seems steady at idle. thanks.
