Well the title syas it all...But how do you (or I) know if it is a 2 or 3 series? What are series? What does it mean to have 10 bolts?

My Camaro is a stock RS with a T-56 transmission (I think) with a 3.08 differential.

3.08- is 2 series
3.23+ is 3 series

the EXACT SAME QUESTION is posted like 4 inches down

series are the size of the carrier your gears fit into

10 bolt = 10 bolts. go look at your differential cover. 10 bolts.

Sorry but the thread that I saw was about a T/A and I believe he had 3.73. Pluse the guy that responded said he was guessing. So I wasn't sure...

Thanks though.
