9-bolt gear ratio

9-bolt gear ratio

i got these #'s off the ring gear of my 9-bolt:
0575 029001
BW LT2 77A

....Can anyone tell me what gear ratio it has.

WAG but i'd bet the ratio is stamped on it, something like 13:43, or you can count teeth and do the math

i checked to see if the ratio was on it but all i got was these #'s...i cleaned it well to see if the grease could be hiding it...where could i run these #s to find it out?

count the gears on the ring gear and the pinion gear.Then divided the 2 numbers

Yup, I know mine were stamped on the ring gear. The numbers you gave have 2 and then a space and then a 77 so I would guess 2.77 since that is a possible and probably the most common gear ratio that would make since. Oh, and also Miles knows his 9 bolts.

DAMN.......2.77...thats horrible..
no-wonder my car isnt pulling as it should....its got a nasty thumper in it. it should be blasting right now.
well...now i know what my missing link is, thanx
