noise on 2-3 shift

Axle/Gears: Ford 9" 4.11
noise on 2-3 shift
i have a 700r4 auto in my 87 ta. everything was fine till about a week ago. I've noticed that the transmission makes a sort of clicking/grinding noise on the 2-3 upshift. It only does it on the upshift over 2200 rpm, and it only does it on the 2 to 3 shift. Any ideas what the problem may be and how i can fix it? thanx.
