bellhousing
bellhousing
replaced my 305 with 350. upgraded to an 11" clutch, keeping stock T5. Stock bellhousing too small. i plan on going to bone yards to find the bell housing that i need. what other GM vehicles came with a bellhousing which will fit my T5 and be used on a hydraulic 11" clutch?
Simple...
NONE.
You won't find a 11" clutch capable bellhousing to use with a hydraulic setup on a T5 in a 3rd gen. BESIDES....
The T5 bellhousing for the 3rd gen is ROTATED , not straight up like other bellhousings.
Unless you want to fork the dough out for an aftermarket bellhousing, use the STOCK ONE and get a GOOD 10.4" clutch and BE DONE WITH IT.
You can get a Stage 2 Spec clutch kit w/ T/O bearing for @ $250 that's good to 450 HP.. and it's 10.4".
Just my 2 cents.

hes right, your only choice here is an aftermarket scatter shield bellhousing from lakewood or TCI.
i had the same problem.....i hunted around and eventually sent the stuff back and got the 10.4" clutch

nope, the t56 bellhousings on newer camaros are way different, besides there is no provision for the fork or anything, as they have hydraulic throwout bearings
