Tranny Problems

I have continued to have this problem, I have had to replace the flexplate and shifting cable twice in 6 weeks, do you have any ideas why this would keep happening ?The center of the flexplate snaps and the cable snaps as well... I have the tranny out on the ground now...

does the the converter have the correct pilot on its front end to seat in the crank? Check this w/ the converter against the crank; trans. obviously of the the car. Picked up a converter & pump last week, saw a 2.8 V6 S10 converter; pilot was way different than one for a V8 / 700. What's the origin of your `verter?

shift cables often are "The engine grounds are partially missing or inadequate so my shift cable became the ground and got fried."
