Transmission replacement
I'm going to replace my 700 r4 transmission soon, I am wondering how hard the work is to actually do it. I have a decent knowledge of cars, I like to think. Is it any more work than say an older chevy truck. Are there any extra sensors or wiring that is required.
A hint that worked well for me... take out the distributor (mark it so it can go back in right,) it lets the tranny drop more for easier access to the top tranny bolts (the distributor would otherwise hit the firewall, preventing any more travel.) I had no problem with the fan hitting the radiator, but it's an aftermarket fan (mechanical.)

I am in the process of replacing mine. So far I haven't had much trouble other than just trying to get bolts loose that have been on there for eighteen years.
