How's my rear end!?
How's my rear end!?
Once again I get caught up in the world of is it a 10bolt/7.5 or a 7.65 or a 9 bolt 7.75 rear diff?
The rear end in my car is {after carefull resarch} is a 9bolt/7.75 rear diff with a 3:42 set of gears. My posi carier has gone on permanent vacation and will now only spin one wheel on the launch pad!I've already run the gamet of additve repaired and have come to the realization that a mechanical repair to this problem is the only solution.
My question is what other cars came with this diff? What would be a good repair{new/used/reman if any}?Please help.
P.S:I work on the counter of a tire shop that also sells perf. products.Soooo I've got access to some good parts suppliers.

The 9 bolt was only offered with a 3.45 ratio, not a 3.42. New posi units are available at www.9bolt.com
