I'm having a problem with my tranny. From a dead stop or a slow roll with the gas nailed it revs to high heavens in first gear. It feels like it should be shifting between 4000-5000 RPM. All the other shifts (2-3 and 3-4) are right on the money. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?

My Helm manual mostly points to throttle valve problems when the 1-2 shift is at full throttle only. Has anything been done to the car that might have caused this, such as a shift kit installation, fluid and filter change or manifold swap? Maybe changing the
topic to "1-2 shift at WOT only" would get more responses. Good
