rear end change

i was wonderin what i would have to change in order to putt a posi rearend into my 87 bird.the new rearend has disk brakes where as mine had drums....the door car was a 86 bird.please help so i can gett back on the road

its always good to run a search to try and see if you can find the information first.

anyway basic install is pretty easy since its a thirdgen rear going into a thirdgen.

make sure you have the car supported right before you start anything.

once you get the old one out, the new one goes in the same way.

the difference would be that you need the proportioning valve from the donor car most likely for proper braking.

i would think the e-brake cables are a bit different that go to the rear end, so you would most likely need to get that from the donar car also.
