ok I have a 700r4 with 150 000 km... I drove it for 30 000 km and the former owner was a lady so the car and the tranny is very clean... you guys think it is safe to open the thing up for a shift kit and a fluid change?

If it shifts normally and is all around reliable, then I'd say yes, go for the shift kit. A fluid change is a must even if you aren't going to put a shift kit in there.

ok here is my second question... how hard is it to install a shift kit? I gutted a carb once it there was way too many little pieces.. is a tranny less complicated?
