I have a broken posi in my 3.73 disc rear. The option I am most fond of is the Eaton positraction unit. It's about $300 and it's a clutch type posi, meaning it's rebuildable and if it wears out, it acts like a regular open rearend till you rebuild it. Least hassle in my opinion.

you could get a stock zexel torsen posi carrier from slponline.net as long as you have 28 spline axles. they're new and only 99.95. i think they're take-outs from the fourthgens when slp modifies them. part #64501T

3.42 are about perfect for stock TPI with an automatic, lower gears are good for burning rubber but you'll be revving 3rd gear out a little to much in the quarter, of course its just a matter of opinion
