How hard is it to change the axle seals in a 9 bolt? Can you remove the axles without opening up the pumpkin?

 

You dont have to open up the rear end. But the seals are under the bearings on the axles. So you'll have to get those changed while your at it. Machine shop will press the old bearings off and the new ones on for you. By the way. There are two different seals for the axles. Dont mix them up.
