I was wondering which crossmember to go with and what options are out there? A friend of mine has the Spohn crossmember in his, but he thinks it hangs to low and suggested I try someone else's for my swap. Are there ones out there that dont hang as low or are they pretty much all the same?? Any thoughts would help. Thanks!

I have the skulte one and I don't think it hangs quite as low as the spohn x-member. Thats just judging by pictures though.

Yea, thats the kind of answer Im looking for. Now the chances of me finding some one who has used both is proably slim to none, but judging by pic's I guess is all we have. Anybody else??

i have the spohn one and ive seen pics of the skulte one and i cant say they look much different. i dont really hit the ground with it. maybe on a speed bump here and there, but no real problems. i guess ill find out within the next two weeks when my prokit arrives ill see if i hit then.

I've got the Spohn. I'm lowered a tad (Pro-Kit). I've bottomed out once, on a steep driveway. Just don't run over speed bumps, which I bottom out on all the time if I go over 5 mph anyway. I don't think it's a big deal. It doesn't hang that much below my skirts anyway. You've got a 92 with the GFX.

i have spohn's with the driveshaft loop and it's low, especially since the mount for the loop extends backwards at a downward slope. my car's at stock ride height and the xmember is maybe 4-6" above the ground, i scrape it quite a bit

Spohn would be the best option for a crossmember. The only other options are Skulte or fab one with a 4th gen crossmember. I have heard a Skulte cross has some problems installing, but no compaints with spohn.

I know the Spohn X-member is 50 bucks cheaper, I was planning on getting it, but like I said before, my friend mentioned checking out others X-members. I figured this was THE place. Thanks for the help fellas!!

I've got the Spohn piece and it's great, bolted up real nice. It does hang a little lower than stock, but as far as I'm concerned it's fine, my 3" exhaust bottoms out before the x-member does (mostly because I was dumb and have a couple of the clamps pointing down, so the clamps are what actually hit) I have no experience with other x-members, but I can tell you the Spohn unit is great!

I have the Spohn crossmember as well. It looks indestructable almost, and so far, I've managed to hit it with two speedbumps. I have an Eibach Prokit, so my car is a little low. Its just missing the powdercoating on a little corner, there is no damage to it. As far as the install, it would not bolt up to my car and the tranny mount at the same time. I could manage to bolt it to the car with the tranny mount removed, but not with it on. I had to elongate the bolt holes on the mount, and adjust the location of the tranny mount to be able to mount my crossmember. I tried using the mount from my auto, and the mount from the 6spd. Neither would work without modifying them. As far as choices, askulte, and spohn both make one. I think I saw someone else that makes one, not sure if it was thirdgenresource or not. I don't remember right now. If it is them, I wouldn't buy it. Haven't had a very good experience with them.
