1989 was the year GM switched from 26 to 28 spline, but I beleive it was late '89. SLP sells a USED posi called a Zexel Torsen Limited Slip for $100 that was removed from Z28s and Trans Ams during the SS/Firehawk conversions. They only come in 28 splines.

Ok, will i have a 82 z28, its supposed to have stock 2.73 gears. I did that driveshaft test and it showed 3.23 It is a peg leg rear. It would cost me $200 to get posi, is it worth it? How much will I gain? Also, how do you tell what spline axles you have? Thanks
