Hydraulic Clutch Line O-RING

To my knowledge there is an O-ring that seals the hydrualic clutch line into the slave cylinder. Well, the O-ring fell to pieces when taken apart. I am fitting the camaro slave cylinder into my S10 doing the V8 swap with the 305 from my Roc.

What do I do for an O-ring? Clutch fluid is just brake fluid, so I need an o-ring that is resistant to brake fluid.

Napa didn't have it, sent me to a hydraulic shop, they don't have it... no one in town has it, I can't find it at the junk yards. No I havn't called GM, they never have little parts anyways.

Will it seal with out this little tiny o-ring? Can I just use some silicon gasket maker to seal the hole?

Any ideas?

maybe you have an o ring, but all i ever saw used flared tubing. try a hydrolic store ( parker is a good one), or gm parts.

Paul,

if you can't find it, call Suburban Chev. in Sandy,

herb at the parts counter has been able to find many parts for me, that tonkin and the others have assured me don't exist. if you are really stuck i would try there. their prices are usualy a little higher than tonkin, but if you call them and get the part #, chances are tonkin will have it in stock.

Got one from a dude I know at the local tranny shop. He's doing a V8 swap himself. Thanks though!
