700r4 not shifting into 3rd

It is an 88 Formula with the 350 TPI and 700r4 and just all of a sudden the other day the tranny would have a problem getting into third and then about 10 minutes after that it would not go into third at all. I have never experienced this problem before. It feels as if something isn't engaging like it should. I would appreciate any help with this problem. Thanks

Axle/Gears: Moser 9", 4.11:1

Thats weird, mine is doing the same thing. I'm taking it to the shop Monday

I hope I don't need a new tranny.

ahhh bye bye 3-4 clutch band. Mine did the same thing. The tranny is pretty well screwed. Rebuild or a new tranny is needed now. It sucks the same thing happened to me.
