help, what rebuild to use
help, what rebuild to use
ok heres the story, i bought an 86 camaro z28 with the 305 carb. and the 700r4 tranny. ive spent the last 2 months night and day working on this car, new paint interior, borg warner posi rear end flowmaster exhast. but know that ive got it all together i took it down the road and it doesnt shift. it also slipped and after about half an hour i got it to go into 2nd but nothing else. so i bought a filter and when i took the tranny cover off it was full of clutch shavings. im assuming that i should just rebuild it but i dont know what to use for a kit. i would like to atleast mildly modify it to handle more power. what should i use? where can i get it? one more question, what is this i hear about it kicking down at full throttle in o/d. can i fix this? also is there a fuel or spark cut out to minimize the top speed?any help would be great.

I don't know of any carbureted ECM applications with a top speed limiter.
WOT 4th gear: do a search.

Have you priced any parts from Pro-Bilt (or however it's spelled or did you misinterpret? I've heard good things about them, and they'll know better whether it "includes everything you need" than the folks at Summit.
