Hi guys just wondering if anyone can help me. When i am driving down the highway & want to pass someone & i kick it in passing gear to pass it won t kick out of gear unless i let up on the fuel. One time i almost hit a car head on when i was passing a transport then i almost blew the engine from over revving it by trying to get back in!! So if anyone can help me with this problem i hope the tranny is not on it s way out!!!:hail:

 

Its not very clear what gear you are refering too. From what I understand you say it kicks down out of 4th gear when you floor it. Makes sense, thats what its supposed to do. A stock 700r4 will NOT shift into 4th gear at WOT. If you want to change that you'll need a shift kit, or the the specific part that controls it. I don't know what part # that is.

From what I understand anything over 2/3 throttle and the tranny will kick down from 4th gear.
