Transmission: T56
Axle/Gears: 9-bolt 3.45
What is the formula...

...for finding which gears that I need to be at a certain rpm to cross the lines in a 1/4 mile track?

I use this formula (RPM X RADIUS X .006 /mph= gearing)

ex. 5000X13X.006/100mph=3.9
In a case like this you would 3.73 or 4.10


Or try mph X gears X 336/tire diameter=r.p.m.

ex. 100 X 3.73 X 336/26=4820
