TH350 no question is better than the 200c.
i suppose it depends on what you consider better: a tired old th350 or a fresh 200c, im sure a rebuild takes care of the tailshaft bushing wear problems associated with the 200c trannies, stock bushings were probably crap compared to the replacement ones now, kinda goes same for the 82-84 700r4 trannies and their rebuild these days, im sure some of the replacement parts fo reven them are better than what was put in them back in 82-84

If the 200C is already in the car I'd just leave it for now because it's rebuilt and should last for a while.
The transmissions are not that different except that the TH350 is a lot stronger but depending on what you're using the car for that may not be a big issue. My 200C lasted for 100K miles of abusive driving (manually downshifting into 2nd from say 50 mph and so on) but that was with an LG4.
I have a TH350C in it now so I have the lockup converter with 2200 stall and a shift kit. The car certainly leaves a lot harder
First gear ratios are different but I can't remember which has the steaper first gear.

good points. ive already had the drivetrain removed for about two weeks now, awaiting th350 brackets to arrive from summit any day now, next step is wash the donor 350/th350 drivetrain and swap on the 80-up EST style aluminum 4bbl spreadbore GM intake and get the 79 th350 350 carb reassembled with the kit and start bolting in the drivetrain and stick on the ram horn exhaust manifolds and a pair of angled back head pipes and fill up with gas and see what she does
thanks all
