question bout my tranny

well i got a 1990 camaro rs 305 tbi 5 speed ..... well i bought the car with no tranny in it and then i found a 84 z28 that was being sold for 400$ with a fairly new t-5 in it and i bought it for the tranny.....so i take the tranny and put it in my 90......so i need to change it from cable driven to electrical....how hard is this to do?
i understand that i need to get a vss sensor, but i have no clue like what kind to get, where to get it , how to put it in.. any help would be greatly apreciated... im still new to the transmission stuff...

It is not hard at all. One screw with a 10mm head, pop the cable drive out, stick the other one in. Just use the VSS from any T-5 trans in a TBI car, you should be able to get one at the junkyard.

It's a direct bolt-in.
