I'v got a 4th gen rear "96" and it dose not have the torson carrier in it well I got a takeoff from SLP and I am going to be putting it in this week some time what I am woundering is being that I am not changing the gears just the carrier if I am going to need to set up the gears or not? I would think all I will need to do is make shure I put what shims came out back in there same spot and that should be that right?

Any input would be great thanks!

Also what are the tourq specs for the ring gear and the caps?

 

you should be able to swap the ring gear from the old to new with no problems. i'd use new bolts on the ring gear, check back lash and contact pattern.
