Is there anyway to tell by looking at it, if the coverter is a lockup or not? I got a good deal on a TCI 2400, so i grabbed it without knowing if it had lockup.
I also have a converter out of a 2.8v6 700r... theoretically this converter would also stall higher as it was designed for use behind a weezy 2.8. this converter is definatly a lockup. Has anyone tryed a v6 converter on their modded V8s?

Ok, now I have been told that all 700r4s are lockup and all converters for them are lockup capable as well. Is this true? I remember reading recently that the early years 700s don't have lockup...

Not all R4 conveters are lockup, at least my aftermarket one isn't, I have a 12" ACT 2200 stall in my truck that is non locking, it was what I could afford at the time.
