i'm probably going to pick up a 400 small block tommorow and start on the rebuild, but i need to know what transmission will mate with this and fit in my car...i know most 400's came in 1/2 ton trucks, but their trannies won't fit in my car, so what can i use?

 

any trans with the standard chevy BP will fit, none with the BOP pattern will work, nor will 60* v6 trans

 

what's the "o" in BOP stand for
