gonna ask again

Sorry to be a pain
Found a good deal on a Eaton posi unit. accepts gears up to 3.73, I want to go with 4.56, was told with spacer and longer bolts this can be done. Anyone with any experience on this? I will buy the thing anyway for mock up just to get the rolling chassis done but would like to be able to use it. Any advice?

i believe you can buy aftermarket gear sets to fit a 2 or 3 series carrier, or use a spacer to make it work. it's done all the time. i'd guess you'd need an aftermarket cross pin too for the 4:56 gears.

i think i saw this in jegs...
you can get richmond gears (4:56) and they are 3 series or 2 series and all you need is to buy a cross pin with them, and itll work

yea, just verfied it, part # 836-69-0324 for gears, 182 bucks
part # 836-80-0270-1 for cross pin, 40 bucks

edit: those part #'s are for jegs.com
if youre buying from somewhere else, just skip the 836 part
