Can anyone explain how you would modify the cross member for the swap from 700r4 to the th350? this is all I have left and I dont want to have to hunt a different one down. The new tranny seems to provide less room for the mount between the transmission and the cross member. I'm afraid of damaging the engine mounts or their bolts...any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

for starters you need the 9inch tailhousing 350, or you'l need the shaft out of a th200 equiped early 3rd gen, and as for the rest there are several threads on the 700 to 350 swop throughout this forum... try a search and I guarantee you'l find it

 

yeah like I said the drive shaft has already been shortened, b/m bracket installed, new gm outer arm braket on, everything is hooked up and connected its all ready to go except for the cross member being too close to the tranny for the mount and i "hear" about people modifying the cross member on here but no explanations as to how it was done.
