305 tpi to 350swap what about tranny?

Iv got a 305 TPI and am now going to a 350 Carb...I was wondering if my tranny will shift ok with no more computer in the car? and before the swap is there anything i should know and any problems i may run into.

Car: 1985 Iroc-Z
Engine: 1 BA 305 TPI
Transmission: Probuilt 700R4 - 2800 Stall Midwest
Axle/Gears: 3.42
The 700R4 isn't controlled by the computer. It's controlled by the Throttle Valve cable. The thing should happen with the new motor. You may have to replace the TV cable. I'm not sure if they are the same length for both motors.

With out computer you wont get TC Lockup. You will have to manually engage the lock up.

Both are correct. The transmission shift points are in part controlled by the TV Cable so getting it properly installed on the carburator is essential. You will also need to devise a way to lock the converter clutch up. There are several methods, do a search.
