speedo cable - please help

speedo cable - please help
can someone walk me through how to replace the speedo cable on a car that has cruise control? what parts i need, tools, etc. thx.

i have the instruments off and the car on jack stands.

ok let me rephrase this. do i need to go through the transducer if i dont ever use my cruise control or can i just run a new cable from the tranny to the speedo?

Transmission: 5 speed and vette has 700r4
Axle/Gears: 373's in T/A .. vette unknown
demon are you looking for a 82-83 cable setup, I have a complete unit
