tranny wont shift
tranny wont shift
When I am driving my car regularly the transmission shift perfectly fine. But when I WOT it acts like it wont shift, it consistently redlines and wont shift until about 6500 ot 7000 RPMs which is way to much for my motor. If you have any ideawhat that might be please, help I really dont want to have a tranmissoin rebuilt or by a new one.
Here are my car specs if it helps. Its a 350 from a 98 Burban, so its vortec headed. I have headers, full 3 inch exhuast, edelbrock intake, 750 cfm edelbrock carb, open element. I believe the gears are stock (90 RS 2.73), any other info needed let me know as I will help as much as needed as to be helped.

Try adjusting the TV cable before doing anything... but you probably need a new tranny.
It sucks. Just don't do what I did, buy a new or rebuilt one. I had a bad tranny and I replaced it (after learning how to do so via trial and error) only to replace it with another bad tranny. I got frustrated. I'm just parking it for now and buying a fourth gen. I'll come back to her when I'm done being frustrated.
