T56 tail housing bushing

Does anyone know where I can get a new tail housing bushing for a T56? I'd like to buy it individually, not as part of a kit.
How much play should there be in the driveshaft yoke?
thanks,
Chris

Has anyone changed their tail housing bushing in a T56? When my yoke is in the trans I can move it up and down about 0.045". I don't think that is normal. I get a vibration with my aluminum driveshaft above 70mph and I'm thinking this might be the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

well, most things can be bought at the dealer like that once in a while you need to buy "kit". I think that bushing would be seperate though

I was able to get the bushing and seal for $9 from a local auto parts store. Now the challenge of changing it. I hope this fixes my vibration. Any advise on changing the bushing would be appreciated.

Get the tool or have it done at a tranny shop.
I couldn't find a tranny shop who had it which means they all wanted to drop the tranny and split the tailshaft from the mainsection

I ordered the tooll from Snapon, used it (works perfectly), and then sold it to a tranny guy in my area who needed it! Overall, it cost me 40 dollars CDN including the seal, bushing and the tool.

Snapon lits it as a transmission bushing puller.
Hope this link works but this is the one I used...
