Dana's Probuilt trans almost in!

It's going in pretty good, almost ready to let the car down from the stands

Is there anyway to make sure I got my TC in far enough on the spines? with the trans bolted up to the engine, the TC spins easily and there is only about 3/8" of clearance between the TC and the front of trans...

What do you guys recommend for trans oil in a performance trans?

Check the clearance between the flex plate and torque converter with a feeler guage. It should be between .090 - .125, if it is more "call me". The fluid you want to use is the Mobil multi-purpose Dexron III, if you cannot locate this, then use Aamco or AC Delco Dexron III to mix with my Pro-Fluid at a approximate 50 - 50 mix.

is that .125 of an inch?
in other words no more than 1/8" between the flexplate and the TC?
I am just a few thou under 1/8" clearance..

what happens if the clearance is too large?
