Hose on top of 700R4?

So I have my spare 700R4 sitting in front of me and there is a hose that comes out of the top in the middle. It is only about an inch and a half long and I have no idea what it is for or what is supposed to be atatched to it. Any ideas?

Cool, so it isnt supposed to be atatched to anythign then.
